Bodega
Just a few minutes inland from the coast, you will find the town of Bodega. Alfred Hitchcock made this town famous when he filmed “The Birds” in 1962. Stop for an espresso or a snack and check out the arts and crafts or visit the beautiful Teresa of Avila Church, built by settlement shipbuilders in 1859.

Bodega Bay
This bustling fishing village offers world class golf with stunning ocean scenery, boat charters, horseback riding, galleries and gifts. Fresh seafood and other tasty fare are served in an assortment of fine restaurants and casual eateries. Doran Beach is a great place for kite-flying, beachcombing and picnics, and on the west side, the Headlands is a favorite place to view migrating whales.

Along Coast Highway One, south of Bodega Bay, is the bucolic hamlet of Valley Ford. Once a major cattle ranching center, Valley Ford still retains its rural ambience and open spaces. It also boasts unique art galleries and shops, fine and family-style dining, and recreational opportunities such as kayaking, canoeing, bicycling, and hiking.
